Abstract
ABSTRACT On Computer is a business entity engaged in the trading business and computer and laptop services located in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. On Computer also has a stock of goods to be sold in general. Inventory itself is always related to the activity of entering and leaving an item at a store, or an activity that prepares stock for the smooth production process or the fulfillment of customer or consumer demand. In an inventory of goods, there is a certain activity in managing goods so that flow in and out of goods is controlled. But in the process there are obstacles when purchasing incoming goods which will cause excess inventory in the following month. So we need a system that is able to both manage and predict the need for future inventory. By using the Weight Moving Average method in predicting the inventory of goods in the following month obtained by the data of goods in the previous period. It is expected that with the help of prediction and management systems, it is able to maximize the performance of officers in managing and predicting inventory in the next period at On Computer. Later the Website-based Prediction and Inventory Management System using the Weight Moving Average method will be designed using the PHP programming language, as well as using the MySql database, and using Visual Studio Code tools, so that later users can operate it without obstacles, and are comfortable.
