Abstract
ABSTRAK Kabupaten Purbalingga, Jawa Tengah merupakan sentra produsen knalpot terbesar di Indonesia. Industri rumahan knalpot di Purbalingga ini menyebar diberbagai wilayah di Kabupaten tersebut. Industri knalpot ada sejak tahun 60an dan dari tahun ke tahun terus meningkat, hingga ditahun 80-90an knalpot Purbalingga berada pada masa keemasannya. Asosiasi Pengrajin Knalpot Purbalingga (Apik Bangga) yang baru berdiri setahun terakhir terus menggenjot para pelaku industri knalpot agar mempunyai merek sendiri. Saat ini Apik Bangga mengaku baru mempunyai anggota sekitar 250an dari total jumlah pengrajin knalpot di Purbalingga sebanyak 700-1.000 pengrajin. Knalpot-knalpot dari Purbalingga diekspor ke beberapa negara seperti Australia, Arab, Swedia dan hampir seluruh Asia pernah memesan knalpot dari Purbalingga. Namun potensi tersebut belum dikelola secara maksimal disamping kurangnya sarana dan prasarana dibidang industri, ditambah dengan belum adanya wadah yang bisa memfasilitasi kegiatan industri tersebut dari kegiatan pengolahan bahan hingga ke pemasaran. Maka dari itu, salah satu upaya yang dilakukan untuk memfasilitasi potensi industri knalpot di Purbalingga dengan model perancangan wadah kegiatan industri. Perancangan Sentra Industri Knalpot dapat berperan penting dalam memfasilitasi dan mengembangkan industri knalpot serta dapat mendongkrak peningkatan penghasilan asli daerah. Konsep perancangan Sentra Industri Knalpot merupakan desain bangunan dan kawasan yang berfungsi sebagai sentra kegiatan industri knalpot di Purbalingga. Penerapan Arsitektur Industrial pada desain juga mementingkan tentang citra dan guna bangunan dengan menerapkan berbagai teknik desain seperti kreasi bentuk, konfigurasi dan komposisi garis maupun warna untuk tampilan yang estetis sehingga karakter asli bangunan tidak dihilangkan. Kata Kunci: Knalpot, Produsen, Purbalingga, Arsitektur, Industrial ABSTRACT Purbalingga Regency, Central Java is the center of the largest exhaust producer in Indonesia. The exhaust home industry in Purbalingga is spread in various regions. The exhaust industry has existed since the 60s and from year to year it continues to increase, in the 80-90s Purbalingga exhaust was in its golden age. The Association of Purbalingga Exhaust Manufacturers (Apik Bangga), which was only established in the past year, continues to encourage the exhaust industry players to have their own brands. Currently, Apik Bangga admits that he only has around 250 members out of the total number of exhaust craftsmen in Purbalingga of 700-1,000 craftsmen. Exhausts from Purbalingga are exported to several countries such as Australia, Arabia, Sweden and almost all of Asia, once ordered exhausts from Purbalingga. However, this potential has not been maximally managed in addition to the lack of facilities and infrastructure in the industrial sector, coupled with the absence of a place to facilitate industrial activities from material processing to marketing activities. Therefore, one of the efforts made to facilitate the potential of the exhaust industry in Purbalingga is by designing a container for industrial activities. The design of the Muffler Industry Center can play an important role in facilitating and developing the exhaust industry and can boost the increase in local revenue. The design concept of the Exhaust Industrial Center is a building design and an area that functions as a center for industrial exhaust activities in Purbalingga. The application of Industrial Architecture to design also emphasizes the image and use of buildings by applying various design techniques such as the creation of shapes, configurations and compositions of lines and colors for an aesthetic appearance so that the original character of the building is not eliminated.
