Abstract
ABSTRACT Along with the development of laptops in Indonesia, people from various professions depend on laptops. Problems arise when these developments are not accompanied by a system that supports the selection of laptops that are expected to be appropriate and according to the criteria of each user. Nowadays laptops have basic functions, then nowadays there are more types, types and brands of electronic devices causing potential buyers to be confused because of the many choices and functions offered by these different electronic devices. Most people who do not really know the functions and uses of these laptops are wrong in purchasing these laptops. This system is made so that prospective buyers can choose a laptop according to their needs. In this study, a laptop recommendation system website was created using weighted addition methods to carry out calculations in accordance with the criteria entered by prospective buyers, this application will be created using the PHP programming language by integrating MySQL as a database server. This system design is the best solution to solve existing problems. This research produces a website-based system that makes it easier for prospective buyers to determine the laptop that suits their needs by displaying the results of the recommendations entered by the prospective buyer.
