Abstract

ABSTRACT Autism is a social development disorder in which children experience communication problems, social interaction disorders, playing disorders, behavior disorders and emotional and emotional disorders. At this time diagnosing autistic disorders in children is done manually and simply so that a patient always needs an expert or doctor to find out what autistic disorder is being experienced based on the symptoms felt by a patient. There is a need for a system that can transfer the knowledge possessed by an expert or doctor. An expert system is built that can help the work of an expert in dealing with the problem using certainty factor methods. This expert system uses a certainty factor method in carrying out the diagnostic process to determine the type of autism disorder in children. The size of the total certainty factor value is determined by the number of matches between symptoms and disorders, the percentage of user confidence in choosing the symptoms that are felt and the amount of the certainty factor value in each rule in the diagnostic rules. The test results of this system are able to determine the type of autism disorder experienced and provide early treatment based on the selected symptoms and the results of the system accuracy test obtained an accuracy value of 86.7%. Keywords: Expert System, Autism, Certainty Factor.
