Abstract
ABSTRACT Public street lighting has become very important and needed by the community in their daily activities. The increase in the population must be accompanied by good and adequate facilities so that the activities of the population are not disturbed. Power saving can be done and achieved by efficient use of power where the benefits are obtained by using less power or by reducing consumption and activities that use power. Data collection based on surveys in the field starting from 18.00 – 06.00 and using SNI 7391:2008, RSNI T-14-2004 as a provision made by the government. The subjects of this study were based on the volume of traffic density along the Aji Barang Secang Road section which includes Banyumas Street, Tumenggung Jogonegoro Street and Ahmad Yani Street in Wonosobo Regency. The selection of lights using a type of LED 90 watts with a number of lights about 193 pieces. The number of lights is divided into 3 lanes which include Banyumas Street a number of 120 lamps with a single pole, Jalan Tumenggung Jogonegoro as many as 34 lamps with double poles and Jalan Ahmad Yani a number of 36 lamps with a single pole. Before using the method of auctioning and replacing mercury-type lamps with LED lights the resulting power reaches 36.570 W while for the energy used reaches 16.456,5 kWh. After using the method of auctioning and changing mercury lamps with LED lights get power savings of 52,5 % and energy reaches 64,2% so as to save the budget of the Wonosobo District Government of Rp. 183.137.395,50.
