Abstract

ABSTRACT The park is a place of recreation and relaxation for families and communities in general as seen from its beauty and comfort. A garden that can make it comfortable must be supported with materials that support each other. As in terms of lighting, the beauty of trees, and other supporting materials. The use of electrical energy as the main resource for electronic equipment in Indonesia continues to increase in line with the population growth of 1.3% per year and the economic growth rate of 6.8% per year. PT PLN (2015) states that the national electricity demand is estimated to grow by an average of 8.7% per year. Meanwhile, the addition of generating capacity has only grown by an average of 4.3% per year. To solve the problem of electrical energy needs, steps are needed to be able to allocate these electrical energy needs appropriately, and this research will design an automatic garden lamp based on Arduino Uno which can allocate energy needs more precisely according to the needs at any time. This automatic garden light is equipped with two lamps. The first light will light up if the LDR sensor detects the surrounding light intensity of more than 500. Meanwhile, the second light will light up when the first light is on, plus an indicator from the PIR sensor. The PIR sensor is used to detect the presence of living things around the area. If the distance between the living creature and the sensor surface is less than 100 cm, the second light will automatically turn on. The results of the 24-hour trial, it can be concluded that the tool that has been made successfully turns on the lights automatically based on the value of light intensity in the surrounding environment and movement with a success rate of the tool reaching 100%.
