Abstract
ABSTRACT Contemporary art is a figure that has always been in the spotlight of public controversy because this art is undergoing a process of development. Contemporary art means that art that is created is tied to various contexts of space and time which include the artist, audience and their terrain. In contemporary art there are several types, one of which is installation work. Installation works are works of art created by combining various two-dimensional and three-dimensional media. Microcontroller is one of the basic parts of a computer system. Even though it has a much smaller form than a personal computer and a mainframe computer, a microcontroller is built from the same basic elements. In simple terms, the computer will produce specific output based on the input received and the program being carried out. Like most computers, the microcontroller is a tool that does the commands given to it. Pulse Memorial is an installation art that was introduced by an artist named Lintang Raditya. This artist uses mixed media including stone, iron, and a microcontroller installation with the concept of hanging in a glass pyramid at the annual exhibition of the Yogyakarta Cultural Festival 2020 at the Sono Budoyo Museum, Yogyakarta Special Region. Seeing the results of the installation works on display resulted in various perspectives of visitors to the exhibition. Technically, the result that the artist wants from the coding that has been inputted into Arduino nano is in line with expectations. However, art aesthetically has not been implemented because the installation time of the exhibition works is too short. Keyword : contemporary fine arts, microcontrollers, exhibition
