Abstract
ABSTRAK Indonesia is the largest archipelagic country in the world. Indonesia provides a tourist attraction in the form of staying a few days on a ship to enjoy the beauty of the seas in Indonesia, especially eastern Indonesia. However, to enjoy the beauty of the ocean on a ship is not as beautiful as what we imagine, because there are several disturbances including sea waves that cause shaking on the ship. This has resulted in most people reluctant to take advantage of these tours. Based on these problems, the authors designed a tool that functions to stabilize ship shaking caused by waves by applying a theory gyroscope with PID control. This tool uses the Arduino UNO R3 microcontroller as a system control component. Brushless motor as pendulum player, to control the motor, the author also adds an Electronic Speed Controller. To adjust the Precession Motion gyro that has been designed, the author adds a servo motor. In addition, the author also added the accelerometer and gyro sensors in the MPU-6050 module to determine the roll angle displacement on the ship. The results of the system test show that the control response for the PID-controlled vessel when a continuous wave disturbance is given, the ship will reach a steady position at 2,765 seconds. The steady position is determined based on the value of the settling time where there is a limit expressed in absolute steady state errors of 2% to 5%. Keywords: ship, gyro, gyroscope, PID.
