Abstract

ABSTRAK Indonesia is one of the countries that has a large agricultural product on the Asian continent. The problem that exists in farmers is that they still rely on manual systems in carrying out maintenance and management of agricultural land, one of which is the process of applying fertilizer to agricultural land. So we need a system or tool for sowing fertilizers on plants using the help of a system from the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) or drone flying robot. The result of this research is the design of a hexacopter drone sowing fertilizer based on a GPS sensor. Hexacopter is a development of the Quadcopter which only has four rotors. The hexacopter drone used, type X, moves using 6 brushless 920KV motors and a propeller measuring 94x50 inches plus a sowing actuator in the form of a tank and fertilizer spraying as the main tool for the container and sowing fertilizer on the drone vehicle. Utilizing the GPS sensor ublok m8n which functions as a satellite signal receiver and converted into location points in the form of longitude and latitude values, the vehicle can navigate to fertilize following the path of the coordinates that have been determined in the area of agricultural land. The Pixhawk 2.4.8 flight control vehicle system that implements automatic or autonomous control can work perfectly. The results of the vehicle can carry out fertilization automatically according to the path and get fairly even fertilization results. The ability to lift the vehicle's load is a maximum of 500grams of fertilizer and 3 meters of fertilization height using a 2300mAh 4s lippo battery.
