Abstract

ABSTRACT The development of technology in the field of robotics is currently happening very rapidly, as evidenced by the use of robot technology in every sector of life such as the military, industry, agriculture, health and other sectors. With the existence of robotics technology, work that is difficult to do and dangerous when done by humans, will be done more easily and safely when working with robots, such as jobs that require high accuracy and continuous accuracy. ROV is a robotic technology that is usually used underwater and operated by someone above the water surface, which aims to facilitate human work effectively and safely under water. Such as doing exploration, inspection, manipulation, installation and maintenance of other underwater equipment. This research will make an ROV prototype with the title "ROV (DesignRemotely Operated Vehicle)Based on Atmega 328 Microcontroller for Underwater Exploration". The result of this study is an ROV that can be controlled in a remote control on the surface with an ADC (Analog Digital Converter) system and serial communication, by displaying underwater images and ROV navigation data in the form of motion angles with the IMU MPU6050 sensor with an error of 3.27. %% and the compass angle is an HMC5883 sensor with an error of 9.22% displayed on a GCS (Ground Control System ). The ROV is equipped with a security system in the form of a leak and a battery voltage sensor with an error of 7.64%.
