Abstract
ABSTRACT Meat is an animal food ingredient needed by humans, and the kinds of meat commonly consumed by the general public are usually chicken, mutton, fish, beef and pork. In the world of meat sales markets that can be manipulated are beef with pork because in terms of color they are almost similar, and the price of pork is cheaper than beef. For Muslims, eating beef is haram. The APDS 9960 color sensor as a beef and pork detector using an Arduino nano-based RGB color value comparison was made to perform a classification that can distinguish between beef and pork. This prototype is equipped with a battery that can be charged so that its use is very flexible. From the results of testing the prototype can work well in distinguishing between beef and pork with a success percentage of more than 80%, but to distinguish mixed meat there are still obstacles.
