Abstract
ARDAN OKTOFIANSYAH Department of Informatics, Faculty of Science & Technology University of Technology Yogyakarta North Ringroad St., Jombor Sleman Yogyakarta E-mail: ardanshadow@gmail.com ABSTRACT Orchids have the Latin name Orchidaceae, a flowering ornamental plant that is the most abundant ornamental plant and is an ornamental plant with superior horticultural commodities. In general, types of orchids have similar colours, textures and petals, which causes a person to have difficulty identifying orchid species, especially people who do not know the characteristics of some orchids. The types of orchids used are dendrobium, paphiopedilum and Bulbophyllum. This research used the Order 1 Characteristic Extraction method and the K-Nearest Neighbor method to identify orchids. The problem formulated in this research is how to recognize the texture features of orchids using Order 1 and K-Nearest Neighbor for the identification process and how to measure the success of the accuracy of the program to be made. The success rate in identifying Orchidaceae or orchids depends on the K value, the success rate of identification the greater the K value, the smaller the accuracy or vice versa Keywords: Orchids, K-Nearest Neighbor, Feature Extraction.
