Abstract
Andy Zunaedy Informatics Department, Faculty Of Science & Technology University of Technology Yogyakarta North Ringroad St., Jombor Sleman Yogyakarta Email: andyzunaedy@gmail.com ABSTRACT Social institutions are social welfare institutions responsible for providing services to abandoned children, the poor, and orphans. The social institutions' development is considered slow due to the lack of information about the location and its requirement presented to the public only as advertising brochures posted on the outskirts of the Sleman Regency. This study aims to design and build an information system regarding the distribution map of Social Institutions in Sleman Regency and web-based information to provide integrated information. A geographic Information System (GIS) can manage the data to be more effective and efficient. The system application uses the Waterfall development method, built using the PHP programming language, HTML, Google maps as an API, and Bootstrap as a processing interface to make it look more attractive and responsive. The results of this system can be accessed using a browser on a computer or mobile device. It is easy to add new social institution data, change data. It is easier for managers to manage orphanage data and display the current user location. Keywords: Geographic Information System, Social Institution, Mapping, Service
