Abstract

ANDHI RATOBING Department of Informatics, Faculty of Science & Technology University of Technology Yogyakarta North Ringroad St., Jombor Sleman Yogyakarta E-mail: ratobing6@gmail.com ABSTRACT The oil and gas sector annually accounts for more than a quarter of Indonesia's revenue. However, the thing to note in the oil and gas sector is the process of distribution of Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) tubes that occur primarily at the LPG 3 kg Purnomo base located in Ngawi Regency, which is a transaction recording system when the distribution process is still using a manual system or a record book. The LPG base takes 30 minutes to 1 hour to record all transaction processes every day using a manual recording system. This research aims to solve the problem that occurs at the LPG base 3 kg Purnomo by creating a system of recording the entry and production of LPG 3 kg tubes based on Android along with the application of cryptographic science to encrypt user data registered in the database using Rijndael algorithm with AES-128 bit encryption standard. In 2001 Rijndael's algorithm was established by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in place of the Data Encryption Standard (DES) algorithm deemed no longer secure for encryption. Research that the authors have made developed applications that can encrypt user data and restore data secured without experiencing data changes.
