Abstract

Amalia's bookstore is a bookstore located at Jl. Juminahan No.4, Purwokinanti, Pakualaman, Yogyakarta. Amalia's bookstore provides various types of books from several publishers, ranging from academic books, novels, religious books and others. This store usually sells books in bulk to resellers and dropshippers and also accepts individual sales. In the process of selling books, it certainly involves a lot of data and there are calculations in the transaction process, but Amalia's bookstore still uses a system with manual writing and calculations, not yet using a computerized system, thus allowing for many errors to occur both in writing notes, calculations in the process transactions, returns, search for book information and in sales reports. It also makes the transaction process less efficient and sales data inaccurate. Therefore, to minimize the occurrence of these errors, a good system is needed. The purpose of this research is to implement a point of sales system at the Amalia Bookstore which can handle problems in processing book data, calculations, transaction processing, reports and making notes. This system is made with PHP programming language and MySQL database.
