Abstract

ABSTRACT Chicken is one of the poultry that makes a major contribution in meeting the needs of animal protein for the people of Indonesia. The availability and provision of feed and water for chickens is very important for the continued growth and development of chickens. Feed and water must be available at all times. Availability of feed and drink in sufficient quantities, will meet the needs of feed and drink chickens during the growing period and takes a lot of time and energy because of the large number of chickens that are kept which results in the quality of the chickens. Therefore, a smart chicken coop design based on the internet of things was made so that it could make it easier for farmers to manage farm chickens, as for the system that was created, namely automatic feed and drink and temperature monitoring in the cage connected to the Blynk application as a control system. From the results of tests carried out on the temperature and humidity monitoring system, the temperature has an error percentage of 0.8% and the humidity value error is 1.45. So the sensor has a pretty good accuracy. Then the 1st floor feeding function test has an accuracy value of 90% and the 2nd floor has an 85% accuracy value, the water supply function test has an 85% accuracy value. So that the design of this smart chicken coop is still quite good. Keywords: Chicken, smart chicken coop, automatic, internet of things
