Abstract
WEB-BASED ACADEMIC INFORMATION SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT (Case Study: SMP N 4 Depok) Rihan Naufalianto, Wahyu Sri Utami Information Systems Study Program, Faculty of Science & Technology University of Technology Yogyakarta Jl. Ringroad Utara Jombor Sleman Yogyakarta E-mail : rihannaufalianto08@gmail.com, wahyu.utami@uty.ac.id ABSTRACT Although at SMP Negeri 4 Depok the delivery of information related to teaching and learning activities, especially student grades and attendance, has used a computerized system using the Microsoft Excel application. It's just that the system used makes the teachers do the recapitulation of grades and attendance at the end of the semester. This will cause various other problems such as the process of submitting reports that are not on time. This also makes it difficult for the teaching staff to report to the principal. The purpose of this study is to create a website-based academic information system. The programming language used to build this system uses HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) and PHP (Hypertext Preprocessor) programming languages, and testing using the black box method. The methodology used is the method of analysis and design method. The method of analysis carried out in this research is literature study, observation technique, survey of the old system and interviews. The hope of the construction of this academic information system is to be able to make it easier for teachers to process student grades and attendance so that students can access online and school principals can access this academic information system to view reports on teacher lists, student lists, student grades and attendance in depth, rent outdoor equipment by getting real time information without having to wait for reports from each teacher.
