Abstract
This study discusses the leadership quality of Tony Stark in the movie entitled The Avengers. In the mentioned movie, he is the main character who plays the role of the team as an advisor. The study is conducted with John Maxwell’s 5 Levels of Leadership as the theoretical basis. There is one problem proposed in this study. The problem is what makes Tony Stark considered a Pinnacle leader. The study is done using Objective Theory and a theory of leadership written by John Maxwell. Based on the leadership theory, the study has found that Tony Stark can be considered as a pinnacle leader because he meets six qualities: a) being respectful to others, b) being able to be a pleasant person, c) being able to produce results, d) often making difficult decisions, and e) being able to use his position positively. The writer has concluded that the question is finally answered after he examined the storyline, characterization, dialogues, and other intrinsic elements of the film studied and with the assistance of leadership theory by Maxwell he has used. Dalam film tersebut, dia adalah karakter utama yang berperan dalam tim t sebagai penasihat. Studi ini dilakukan dengan 5 Levels of Leadership John Maxwell sebagai landasan teori. Terdapt satu permasalahan yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini. Permasalahan tersebut adalah apa yang membuat Tony Stark tergolong sebagai Pemimpin Pinnacle. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan dua teori, yaitu Teori Obyektif dan teori tentang kepemimpinan yang ditulis oleh John Maxwell. Berdasar teori kepemimpinan tersebut, penelitian ini mendapati bahwa Tony Stark bisa digolongkan sebagai seorang pemimpin pinnacle karena dia memenuhi enam kualitas sebagai berikut: a) merespek orang lain, b) mampu menjadi orang yang menyenangkan, c) mampu menghasilkan, d) sering membuat keputusan sulit, dan e) mampu menggunakan posisinya secara positif. Semua itu sesuai dengan teori Maxwell. Penulis telah menyimpulkan bahwa pertanyaan yang diajukan akhirnya terjawab setelah dia mencermati alur cerita, karakterisasi, dialog, dan elemen-elemen intrinsik lain dari film, objek studi dan dengan menganalisa menggunakan teori kepemimpinan yang digunakan.
