Abstract

REAL-TIME NOTIFICATION SYSTEM IN FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT BY APPLYING WEB-BASED SOCKET.IO TECHNOLOGY AT YOGYAKARTA FROGSHELTER CAFE YANA SETIAJI PRAYITNO SUNARYATA Department of Informatics, Faculty of Science & Technology University of Technology Yogyakarta North Ringroad St., Jombor Sleman Yogyakarta E-mail: yanasetiaji@gmail.com ABSTRACT Frog shelter cafe is a business that is engaged in selling food and beverages. Its products came from various high-quality coffee. Until now, the Frog Shelter cafe is still using a third-party system in carrying out any financial management activities. The system used is felt to be less than optimal to accomplish every need. No feature could manage real-time finances in the previous management system, resulting in differences in incoming data and reports. The most suitable client-server communication technology for use in developing financial management systems is the Websocket technology. This problem is attempted to be solved by developing a web-based financial management system using WebSocket. Websocket is used as its client-server interaction communication technology. The system was developed using the waterfall process. The system is built in a client-server construction with a server running in the NodeJS runtime environment using the Socket.IO library. After going through the testing process, the results of this application make it easy to manage company finances maximally and in real-time.
