Abstract
PENGELOLAAN PRODUK RAMAH LINGKUNGAN SEBAGAI UPAYA PENGENDALIAN LIMBAH BUAH DENGAN ECO-ENZYME Rohmad Adhi Prasetyo1, Ferida Yuamita 2 1,Program Studi Teknik Industri, Fakultas Sains & Teknologi Universitas Teknologi Yogyakarta ABSTRAK Limbah merupakan salah satu permasalahan yang sering dihadapi pedagang Pasar Buah Giwangan Yogyakarta. Limbah yang dihasilkan yaitu sisa buah dan sayuran yang sudah membusuk yang dibiarkan dan dibuang begitu saja. Maka untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan diatas diperlukan sebuah inovasi untuk mengelolah hasil limbah yang menjadi suatu produk yang berguna dan bermanfaat untuk masyarakat sekitar. Limbah yang dihasilkan oleh penjual rata-rata setiap minggunya mampu menghasilkan sekitar 25 Kg / penjual sedangkan pada Pasar Buah Giwangan ada sekitar 50 penjual buah maka total limbah yang dihasilkan oleh seluruh penjual lebih dari 1 ton pada setiap minggunya. Hal ini yang membuat penjual merasa kesulitan untuk mengolah sampah buah tersebut karena penjual masih terlalu awam untuk mengelolah hasil limbah tersebut. Berdasarkan hasil pengumpulan data yang didapatkan maka rata-rata total limbah yang didapatakan oleh pedagang dalam waktu satu minggu yaitu 62 Kg. Maka untuk membuat eco enzyme dalam bentuk galon maka diperlukan 20 Galon untuk mengolah hasil limbah menjadi eco Enzyme. Dan pengujian pH pada Eco – Enzyme menurut kajian literatur fermentasi eco-enzyme dapat dikatakan berhasil jika terbentuk larutan berwarna kecoklatan dan memiliki bau seperti jeruk atau bau seperti buah-buahan dan memiliki pH dibawah 4 atau pH asam. Kata Kunci : Pupuk, Eco-Enzyme, Inovasi, dan produk kreatif. MANAGEMENT OF ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY PRODUCTS AS A FRUIT WASTE CONTROL EFFORT WITH ECO-ENZYME Rohmad Adhi Prasetyo1, Ferida Yuamita 2 1, Industrial Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Science & Technology University of Technology Yogyakarta ABSTRACT Waste is one of the problems that are often faced by traders at the Yogyakarta Giwangan Fruit Market. The waste produced is the rest of rotting fruits and vegetables that are left and thrown away. So to solve the above problems, an innovation is needed to manage waste products into a useful and beneficial product for the surrounding community. The waste produced by sellers is about 25 kg per week on average, while at the Giwangan Fruit Market there are around 50 fruit sellers, so the total waste generated by all sellers is more than 1 ton per week. This makes the seller find it difficult to process the fruit waste because the seller is still too unfamiliar to manage the waste. Based on the results of data collection obtained, the average total waste obtained by traders within one week is 62 Kg. To make eco enzyme in the form of gallons, it takes 20 gallons to process waste products into eco enzymes. The pH test on Eco-Enzyme according to the literature review of eco-enzyme fermentation can be said to be successful if a brownish solution is formed and has an orange-like or fruity odor and has a pH below 4 or acidic pH.
