Abstract
This thesis is an analysis of phonemic changes in the person’s name in Bima dialect language. The researcher found various forms of phonemic changes that occurred due to the disappearance of the final consonant and the change of vowel to the names in Bima dialect. In this analysis, researcher also found various cases why Bima names change. This thesis is a qualitative research because the data are taken directly by the researcher by using interview methods both individually and in groups. The researcher retrieves the data by recording audio and recording any discussion related to the researcher's discussion. Based on the results of the analysis, there are two results found by the researcher. Firstly, there is a final consonant disappearance and vowel alteration in the name of a person, since in general the Bima language is not ending with a consonant in a word, for example a name "paradise" when the final consonant on the name is omitted then the name will change to "Firdau (s) ", in contrast to the change of vowel to the word. The phoneme / a / could be / o /, / a / be / i /, / a / to / e /. Key words: Bima language variation, Bima dialect, Bima language phoneme
