sedikit rumah-rumah tradisional memiliki nilai filosofis di dalamnya yang diambil dari karakter masyarakatnya. Rumah tradisional juga menjadi salah satu ciri khas dari suatu suku di Indonesia. Namun seiring berkembangnya zaman, konsep rumah tradisional mulai ditinggalkan karena kebutuhan tempat tinggal yang mudah, cepat dan tanpa memikirkan filosofis lebih banyak diminati masyarakat. Sehingga konsep rumah tradisional bahkan bentuk utuhnya mulai jarang dilihat dikehidupan sehari-hari. Terutama pada masyarakat Buton yang mulai meninggalkan konsep rumah tradisional mereka dengan rumah modern minimalis. Di Kota Baubau yang menjadi pusat pemerintahan Kerajaan/Kesultanan Buton pada masa lampaupun jarang ditemukan bangunan- bangunan yang menganut konsep rumah tradisional. Dengan menggunakan teknik transformasi, konsep rumah tradisional Buton dapat dihidupkan kembali pada bangunan-bangunan baru. Rumah tradisional Buton mengambil konsep dasar dari bentuk tubuh manusia yang terdiri dari kepala, badan, dan kaki. Dalam arsitektur Buton juga terdapat kawasan Benteng Keraton Buton yang erat kaitannya dengan masyarakat Buton. Desain bangunan menggunakan konsep transformasi rumah tradisional Buton dapat menjadi awal dari pengenalan kembali nilai-nilai rumah tradisional Buton dan sebagai wadah sejarah yang ada di masa lampau sehingga masyarakat tidak melupakan jati dirinya. Dalam perancangannya, arsitektur tradisional ditransformasikan sesuai prinsip transformasi secara dimensional dan adiktif. Traditional houses are ones of the architectural relics of the past. Not a few traditional houses have philosophical values which are taken from the character of the people. Traditional houses are also one of the characteristics of a tribe in Indonesia. However, as the times progressed, the concept of traditional houses begins to be abandoned because the need for a place to live that is easy, fast, and without thinking about philosophy, is more in demand by the public. Therefore, the concept of a traditional house, and even the complete form, is rarely seen in everyday life. Especially for the Butonese people who are starting to leave the concept of their traditional house with modern minimalist houses. In Baubau City, which was the center of the government of the Kingdom/Sultanate of Buton in the past, it is rare to find buildings that adhere to the concept of traditional houses. Using transformation technique, the concept of Butonese traditional houses can be revived in new buildings. The Butonese traditional house takes the basic concept of the shape of the human body which consists of the head, body, and feet. In the Butonese architecture, there is also the area of the Buton Palace Fortress which is closely related to the Butonese people. The design of the building that uses the concept of transforming the Butonese traditional house can be the beginning of the re-introduction of the values of the Butonese traditional house, and as a place for history that existed in the past, thus the people do not forget their identity. In its design, traditional architecture is transformed according to the principle of dimensional and addictive transformations.
