Abstract

ABSTRACT Information technology is a very important human need, because the progress of the times of work activities is mostly assisted by information technology. The Yogyakarta Persada Engineering Studio shop is engaged in the sale of electrical equipment. This study aims to solve the problem of selling electrical equipment in the Persada Engineering Studio which is still conventional, where buying and selling transactions are carried out by coming directly to the store. The management of the Persada Engineering Studio shop is still using promotional media through Facebook and Whastapp, besides that online orders are made by contacting directly via Whatsapp. The difficulties experienced when online orders are made via Whatsapp, namely determining shipping costs and consumers have to wait for a response from the Persada Engineering Studio shop. Seeing these problems, the author is interested in solving the problems that exist in this final project by creating an e-commerce application that can help the shop management of the Persada Engineering Studio. This e-commerce website applies the Midtrans payment gateway so that payments can be made automatically and tracking goods so that consumers can track goods that are still in the delivery process. The results of this application after going through the purchase transaction testing process can make it easier for buyers to order the desired product, as well as assist the Persada Engineering Studio shop in marketing and providing information about the products or goods to be sold. In the process of making this payment system for electric equipment, the Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP) programming language and MySQL database will be used.
