Abstract
Selection of new students in SMK Ibu Pawiyatan Tamansiswa have problems among others still manual calculation of values performed by the committee of the PPDB in determining the students received, consequently takes a relatively long time in decision making. To further facilitate the PPDB committee in searching the data, assessing and selecting students who are superior and competent according to the vision and mission objectives that have been set by FMADM logic. FMADM is a method used to find the optimal alternative from a number of alternatives based on predetermined criteria. SAW method is one method that can handle FMADM problem. FMADM with SAW method is chosen because it can determine the weight value for each attribute, then done the ranking process. The purpose of ranking is to select the optimal alternative from a number of alternatives, the intended alternative is the eligible student candidate. System development using waterfall model. Development of waterfall model system there are several stages: 1) data analysis, 2) system design, 3) writing program code, 4) program testing, 5) program implementation and maintenance. System design is depicted by using Data Flow Diagram (DFD) and Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD). The results of this study resulted in a decision support system for the PPDB committee to determine the applicants who were accepted by using FMADM with SAW method.
