Abstract

ABSTRACT Money in modern economics is defined as something available and generally accepted as a means of payment for the purchase of goods and services and other valuable assets as well as for debt repayment. Money is an object that is accepted by society to measure value, exchange, and make payments for the purchase of goods and services, and at the same time acts as a means of hoarding wealth. Backpropagation Artificial Neural Network (ANN) is a type of neural network commonly used in image data. ANN can be used to detect and recognize objects in an image. With the use of the above ANN method that can detect and recognize objects in an image, it is an opportunity for the development of a desktop-based application that is useful for recognizing paper currency nominals.
