Abstract

ABSTRACT Current technological developments have provided a lot of convenience for the distribution of digital data through internet media. On the other hand, this convenience can cause problems with copyright protection. One technique to overcome this problem is to insert a watermark as proof of ownership into digital data known as watermarking. Digital images are files that are much sought after and sent by internet users, both important and unimportant images. Image file copyright is certainly very important so that there are no irresponsible parties who manipulate information from the image. The insertion of a sign (watermark) can thus protect the ownership of the data so that it is not modified to something negative. In this study, the Least Significant Bit (LSB) algorithm is used to insert a watermark on the image file to be safe. Keywords: Watermarking, LSB Algorithm, Image
