Abstract
ABSTRACT Al-Huda Pharmacy is a business engaged in the sale of drugs where there is a process of selling and buying drugs, both prescription and non-prescription. The drug prescription data must be managed properly because the drug prescription should only be known by those who have access to the data. With that, the Vigènere Cipher method is used to maintain the security of prescription drug data at the Al-Huda pharmacy. The goal to be achieved in this study is to build an encryption system that is applied to drug prescription data. This system is capable of encrypting and decrypting prescription drug data in the form of text using the Vigènere Cipher method. This system is built on the basis of a website using PHP and MySQL as the programming language used. This study resulted in a prescription data encryption system at the Al-Huda pharmacy using the Vigènere Cipher method. This system can encrypt and decrypt data in the form of prescription text on drug prescription data owned by the Al-Huda pharmacy.
