Abstract

ABSTRACT Separate inventory recording at each Monjali Petshop Group store branch creates data inconsistency. Stored data from each branch should be re-examined when designing inventory reports. This is the background of the author to design an inventory system for the Monjali Petshop Group. The purpose of writing this final project is to explain the design of the inventory system at the Monjali Petshop Group that can run well and be useful for the shop. The method used is the FIFO (First In First Out) inventory system. The Monjali Petshop shop sells sequentially based on the date of purchase. Stock of goods purchased for the first time will be issued or sold in the first order. Judging from sales, the store applies the FIFO method. In FIFO there are two types of inventory recording, namely periodic and perpetual. The application of perpetual inventory can provide detailed information on the flow of incoming and outgoing inventory. Therefore, the authors not only design in a periodic form, but the inventory reporting system for each item is also designed in a perpetual form. The results of the tests carried out, the designed system can be used properly. The cashier feature can be used as a tool to make sales. Recording reports in a periodic form can provide the results of the cost of goods sold and gross profit of each product. Report recording in perpetual form can provide data on the flow of purchases and sales of each product. Keywords: Inventory System, Fifo, Periodic, Perpetual.
