Abstract

LIBRARY INFORMATION SYSTEM IMPLEMENTATION WEB-BASED (Case Study: SMP Negeri 3 Godean) Cindy Natalia, Ahmad Tri Hidayat Program Studi Sistem Informasi, Fakultas Sains & Teknologi Universitas Teknologi Yogyakarta Jl. Ringroad Utara Jombor Sleman Yogyakarta E-mail : cindynatalia9e@gmail.com, ahmad.tri.h@uty.ac.id ABSTRACT The library is one of the educational facilities that can support learning activities for students at school. Libraries have an important role in supporting the achievement of educational goals, with the existence of libraries can help students to find references to subject matter provided by subject teachers. Book lending activities at SMP Negeri 3 Godean are still done manually, so it takes a lot of time and effort to borrow books. At this time technology cannot be separated in various activities, to support the speed in the process of borrowing books at SMP Negeri 3 Godean, the authors propose to create a website-based library information system so that librarian officers are more efficient in recording borrowing and returning books. In the research process, data collection techniques used include observation, interviews and literature studies. This library processing information system is designed to facilitate the workings of librarian and students in borrowing and returning books. Keywords: Information System, Library, Website.
