Abstract

Ringroad Utara Jombor Sleman Yogyakarta E-mail: radifanxxx52@gmail.com ABSTRACT The library is part of the learning resources that must be owned by every school or college, because it plays an important role in providing books as a source of learning reference. Students easily find information or knowledge through the library. However, not all libraries apply technology in the process of library activities such as borrowing books, registering members, searching for books and others. This makes library activities carried out by bookkeeping and this causes the SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Mlati library to need more space for storage. Technological developments make people think to be able to work more effectively and efficiently. Library Information System is an application development that is used to determine the transaction process in the library. In this study, a website-based information system was designed using the PHP programming language. With this system, it is expected to speed up the process of completing the work of the library section, reduce the occurrence of errors and be able to increase the effectiveness in recording and reporting so that the resulting data is valid so that it can improve the quality of better services to students of SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Mlati.
