Abstract

WEB-BASED SCHOOL INFORMATION SYSTEM (Case Study: Tunas Muda Private Primary School IKKT) Dea Nur Wahyuningsi, Suhirman, Ph.D Information Systems Study Program, Faculty of Science & Technology University of Technology Yogyakarta Jl. Ringroad Utara Jombor Sleman Yogyakarta E-mail : deanur.wahyuningsihh@gmail.com, suhirman@uty.ac.id ABSTRACT Tunas Muda Private Elementary School IKKT is a private elementary school that does not yet have a website portal as a means of promotion and information. Information about education is a general need for people in Indonesia today. Many parents are confused in determining a good school for their children. For that we need a means of information about schools in the city of West Jakarta which contains the vision and mission, school accreditation, location, infrastructure, extracurricular, and school achievements as well as all things about the school. The design of this system uses the waterfall method which is structured from requirements analysis, system design, program code writing, program testing and implementation. This web-based information system utilizes the web as access to the PHP programming language and its database uses MySQL. The data collection technique used is by means of field research, which includes observation, interviews, and documentation as well as library research. The result of this research is the existence of a web-based school information system that can be used as a medium for conveying information about Tunas Muda IKKT Private Elementary School. This system has features such as school profiles, school addresses, announcements, teacher data and number of students, extracurricular activities, school online media and also a summary of school achievements.
