Abstract

TOURISM APPLICATION DESIGN. YOGYAKARTA USING ANDROID-BASED GPS USING LOCATION BASED SERVICE (LBS) METHOD Darson, Iwan Hartadi Tu, S.T., M.Kom Information Systems Study Program, Faculty of Science & Technology University of Technology Yogyakarta Jl. Ringroad Utara Jombor Sleman Yogyakarta E-mail : darson.dr@gmail.com, email.dosen@gmail.com, ABSTRACT Tourism is a sector that is very important for the development of an area, tourism is one of the means of promotion to introduce the natural beauty and diversity of a community group in the area. Location Based Service System or better known as Location Based Service (LBS) is an information service in the form of geographic information that is accessed using a cellular phone through a cellular network connection to map the exact location. This research develops and produces a software product in the form of an application as a medium of tourism information that can be accessed and installed online based on mobile using the Location Based Service method. This study displays information on tourist destinations, routes or paths to tourist attractions, and displays destination points using the Location Manager Interface (API Maps) and Location Provider (API Location) from Google. This software design uses the Unifield Modeling Language (UML) modeling system. Use Case Diagrams, Activity Diagrams, Sequence Diagrams, and Class Diagrams. The results of the test using Location Based Service technology that combines Geographic Information Systems, Internet Services, and Mobile Devices and can make it easier to access tourist location information easily, quickly and accurately.
