Abstract
DEVELOPMENT OF LEARNING APPLICATIONS FOR CHILDREN IN KINDERGARTEN BASED ON ANDROID (Studi Kasus : TK Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal Kecamatan Mlati, Kabupaten Sleman, D.I Yogyakarta) Bimo Aryo Tejo, Devi Ratnasari Information Systems Study Program, Faculty of Science & Technology University of Technology Yogyakarta Jl. Ringroad Utara Jombor Sleman Yogyakarta E-mail: bimo.aryo.tejo@student.uty.ac.id deviratnasari@staff.uty.ac.id ABSTRACT Educational institutions certainly cannot be separated from an application that facilitates the learning process. As time goes by, technological developments are getting faster, children are getting to know the world of mobile applications and according to observations, children are less interested in learning to use books and other print media. The children seemed interested in learning to use interesting application technology by looking at the interface or face-to-face on a smartphone rather than books and picture media installed on the classroom walls. Therefore, learning applications for children will be developed so that they can be used as alternative media for early childhood in changing conventional learning methods into learning ways using applications. The goal to be achieved by the author is that the author wants to develop a learning application for children using the Android system because children are more interested in interacting by using applications on smartphones as a means of learning interaction. By using the Android application system, this application can be used as an interesting and easy-to-use learning medium. In addition, the interface is designed to impress students to be interested in using this learning application for children. This application can run on our smartphones with the Android Lollipop 5.0 operating system. Keywords: Applications, Learning, Smartphone, children's songs, Android.
