Abstract

Viva Generic Pharmacy is a place of health service that provides a variety of prescription and non-prescription drugs. Every operational activity at Viva Generic Pharmacy is documented in a ledger and then processed using Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel such as managing drug data and the process of buying and selling drugs. This greatly affects the length of time required to process drug inventory data management and the difficulty in controlling expired drugs. Providing information in the form of inventory reports as well as purchasing and selling drugs takes a relatively longer time because they have to make a recapitulation first in accordance with existing transaction evidence so that the resulting information becomes late and inaccurate. Therefore, a desktop-based drug supply system is needed by applying the FIFO (First In First Out) method which is expected to facilitate operational activities at the Viva Generic Pharmacy, especially in the process of managing drug inventory data, controlling expired drug data and the process of providing information. in the form of reports so that the process becomes faster and the resulting information becomes more precise and accurate.
