Abstract

ABSTRACT Car Rental is a business entity engaged in the rental of four-wheeled vehicles. The car rental system at Athala RentCar is considered ineffective where the recording of loan data and return data is still recorded in the books so that it is easily damaged or lost and making reports takes a long time. This study aims to determine the current system, make system design, perform analysis and testing as well as to implement information systems for car rental and rental payments. This research is useful for building a car rental information system on Athala RentCar. In developing a car loan and payment system, the author uses a structured approach method, namely the prototype method where data collection techniques used include observation and interviews. For the development method using a structured method with several tools. The programming language used in designing and implementing a loan and return information system is PHP and the database used is MySQL. The results of research at Athala RentCar can be concluded that with the construction of a car rental information system, it is hoped that it can assist employees in managing loan data and return data more quickly and can reduce errors in the data recording process and reduce errors in submitting loan and return reports on Athala RentCar.
