Abstract
ABSTRACT Suitcase is one of the tools that is often used to store various valuables when traveling. Therefore the suitcase becomes very vulnerable to become a crime. Luggage security that is still standard causes suitcases to easily become targets of crime, therefore a suitcase safety device is designed using GPS (Global Positioning System) and the Telegram Application with input via smartphone and notification output on the Android smartphone itself. This luggage safety device utilizes the Google Maps application to track the whereabouts of the suitcase. The location point or position of the suitcase is sent to the user so that the user can track the suitcase using a smartphone by simply entering a command (input) in the form of text via the Telegram application that is connected to the internet. The device used is the Ublox NEO 6MV2 GPS module as a determinant of the coordinates of the suitcase position, Wemos D1 as a microcontroller that coordinates data and sensors, LDR sensor as a light sensor to determine whether the suitcase is open or closed.
