Abstract
ABSTRACT Guest House Parikesit is a guest house accommodation in Yogyakarta which is located at Jl Prawirotaman No 32, Brongtokusuman, Kec. Mergangsan, Yogyakarta City 55153. Guest House Parikesit has not used any of the technological advancement agencies to make a reservation at Guest House Parikesit. In the booking section, the Guest House still uses the bookkeeping process to input data in the room, such as Check-In and Check-Out data on room reservations that come in every day so it takes quite a long time. With this method, it is not efficient in collecting data and ordering, not only that, collecting data and ordering using the bookkeeping method has obstacles that will disrupt the booking process and information services that are distributed quickly and up-to-date to customers. So that it will hamper the reservation process for booking rooms. Our goal as students who are doing practical work is to create a Web-Based Guest House Reservation System at the Parikesit Guest House in order to facilitate an effective and efficient data collection and booking process. In the process of making this system using the CodeIgniter Framework, supported by a MySQL database, and Visual Studio Code is used as a text editor. Keywords: Booking System, MySQL, CodeIgniter
