Abstract

ABSTRAK Geographic Information System (GIS) is a modern information system that is effectively used to create maps and integrate information, making it easy to make decisions. GIS in this study was used to map the distribution of tourism in Purworejo district. The purpose of this GIS is to find out information about the location of the distribution of tourism in Purworejo Regency, so that it can assist the government in making policies to improve the quality of tourism in Purworejo Regency. The benefit of GIS is that it helps the government and interested parties to obtain information in the form of annual tourist address data. The data collection method used is the method of documentation and observation. The data collected was then analyzed by descriptive method. Making WEB-based GIS maps is integrated with mapbox as map digitization. Meanwhile, for processing the database using MySQL, which is a database capable of processing spatial data and attribute data. The result of this distribution analysis is a WEB GIS map. Keywords: Geographic Information System, Tourism, Mapping.
