Abstract

ABSTRACT Technology is currently one of the needs that continues to grow in any field, not least in the business field. PT. Pilindo Megah Selatan is a maritime company engaged in shipping and containers. Ship crew or ship crew are people who work or are hired on a ship by a ship owner or operator to perform tasks on a ship. PT. Pilindo Megah Selatan is currently experiencing difficulties in recruiting ship crews. The difficulty faced is the large number of crew who register and take an assessment of several criteria for prospective ship crews. This makes it difficult for HRD / Crew Department to select ship crew candidates appropriately, quickly, and accurately. With the development of information technology, and to help PT. Pilindo Megah Selatan in recruiting the ship's crew, the author will create a Decision Support System for Ship Crew Admission with the Web-Based Simple Additive Weighting Method. This system can later help HRD / Crew Department in dealing with these problems. The results obtained from this system are recommendations for the ranking of prospective ship crews as a consideration for HRD / Crew Department in making decisions to accept prospective ship crews. Keywords: Technology, Decision Support Systems, Simple Addtive Weighting, Shipping, Ship Crew.
