Abstract
ABSTRACT Information security is a very important factor in the aspect of information that must be maintained. Data is information that must be kept safe so that theft does not occur or things that can endanger information from unauthorized persons. This of course poses a risk if sensitive and valuable information is accessed by irresponsible people. Therefore security is needed to maintain the confidentiality of information. The security aspect of an information can be increased by using a cryptographic algorithm for the security process. This research will apply the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) cryptographic algorithm in handling the information security process. Thus, the application of the AES algorithm into a webiste-based file security program can maintain the security of information on important files from anyone who is not interested. This study uses the PHP and MYSQL programming languages as data storage servers. Keywords: Algorithm, AES, Security, File.
