Abstract

Macberry Store is an electronic store that was founded in 2009, located at Jalan Kaliurang KM 6.5 Blok A No. 03, Yogyakarta. The Macberry Store sells a wide variety of new and used products from several types of categories. In the process of collecting product data, recording and calculating sales transactions and recording sales reports, this shop still uses manual recording, namely by hand writing on paper media. The manual recording and calculation process is less effective, because it can lead to writing errors, both in product data collection, calculations in the transaction process, recording on notes and in recording sales reports. It also causes the transaction process to run less efficiently and the resulting data is inaccurate. The purpose of this research is to produce a web�based system that can handle problems in recording and calculating sales transactions, managing product data and making sales notes and reports. In this study, the author uses the Waterfall system development method. The system is built using the PHP programming language and MySQL database. Then there is the Black Box testing method and questionnaires distributed to users. The result of this research is an implementation of a web-based point of sales system that can simplify the process of recording and calculating sales transactions, managing product data and making sales notes and reports.
