Abstract

ABSTRACT The increasing rate of immigrants who come to Yogyakarta, especially students from various regions in Indonesia, has caused many people from Yogyakarta to start a boarding house business. In this case, boarding searching and marketing are mostly still conventional ways. The boarding house seekers come to the boarding house they want to check one by one boarding house so that the time needed to find a suitable boarding house is longer, and mostly, the boarding house owner just waits until someone comes looking for boarding. In this case, it can cause problems if the boarding house seekers need a boarding house as soon as possible but have not found a suitable one. Therefore, a mobile-based boarding information search system in Sleman is made to overcome this problem. In this study, the Flutter framework is used with the Dart programming language, then for the database used is Firebase, and for the IDE, visual studio code is used. This research has succeeded in building a mobile-based boarding information search system in the Sleman area that can be used by users to find the nearest boarding house and can be used to make boarding reservations. Boarding house owners can register boarding houses and receive incoming bookings from boarding house seekers. The study results are: the information system for finding boarding places in the mobile-based Sleman area can be a system helping to find boarding houses more easily, finding boarding information without having to come directly to the boarding house, and boarding house seekers can now ask the boarding house owner through the chat feature available in the mobile application.
