Abstract
This research is done to answer two research questions as follows: how does Emily respond to the idea that contrast with her and what are the contrasting working values between American and French in serial film Emily in Paris (2020). This research is aimed to find out any contrasting working values between American and French that seen in Emily in Paris (2020). This research uses descriptive qualitative method to obtain the data. The researcher can use library research that is collecting books, audio, documents, journal, and other materials as the source data. The object of this research is working values about American and French in Emily in Paris (2020) series film. The data were gained from sentences and dialogue inside the movie. The sentences and dialogue were used to show the working values that contrast between American and French. In this result, the researcher finds seven contrasting working values, there are working ethos, the way to dress, mannerism, the way of thinking, the way of speaking, life style, and time.
