Abstract
This study is a descriptive study whose purpose is to know the efforts done by the main character of Everything, Everything novel to get freedom to live a happy and meaningful life. The method of data collection is using the novel as the main source of data and other digital as well as electronic media such as e�books, Internet, and film to support the study. In doing the study the writer is helped by Objective Theory as he needs to get data from the novel as a unity. The study has found that Maddy, the main character of “Everything, Everything Novel”, has done some efforts in her aims to get freedom. Those efforts are meant to make herself independent girl who is responsible for her own life, free from her traumatic and possessive mother.
