Abstract
Yogyakarta Communication Science College which is located on Jl. Laksda Adisucipto, Depok District, Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta, is a National Private University in the field of communications. As an educational institution, complaints or conveying student aspirations and complaints are important, because by conveying these aspirations, a university can easily improve and improve its quality. The handling of student complaints at the Yogyakarta College of Communication is currently not well managed, namely students make complaints by writing complaints which are placed in the suggestion box. However, this method is very ineffective because most students ignore the suggestion box and even the contents of the suggestion box contain more rubbish than the complaint reports. In this research, an Android-based student complaint information system was created which is useful as a means of conveying student complaints, criticism and suggestions. This student complaint application was built using the Java programming language and uses the Firebase database. This application is expected to be able to accommodate all complaints so that they can be resolved as quickly as possible.
