Abstract

The use of E-Government needs to be carried out in every village to improve the quality of service to the community. The implementation of technology in the government sector requires all activities to use a digitalization system, especially in letter services. making letters of reference or cover letters at the village or sub-district office still uses office software for general needs so that it is still manual. In order for village officers to be more facilitated in making various letters of reference, a special system is needed to assist in making the letters of reference. The purpose of this study is to build and develop a web-based village letter service information system using the codeigniter framework to improve the quality of service in Ngerangan Village, Bayat District. The stages carried out in this final assignment are problem identification, data collection, system analysis, system design, system implementation and system testing. The results of the system testing can help officers and the community in letter services. The creation of a web-based letter service information system has minimized problems, based on the results of the system trial using the black box method from 59 test scenarios with a success rate of 100% and User Acceptance Testing with a success rate of 77.1%. From the test results, this web-based letter service information system is expected to be able to solve the problems currently being faced by Ngerangan Village, Bayat District in carrying out letter-writing activities and improving letter-writing administration services to be better.
