Abstract
Self-acceptance is a very important aspect of a person's life. It involves the ability to accept and appreciate oneself, including one's flaws and strengths. However, achieving self-acceptance is not always easy. Because self-acceptance is an ongoing process that takes time, effort and the right support. This also happens to the main character in The Midnight Library, Nora Seed. The character Nora has difficulty accepting herself. Therefore, this study aims to show how the process of selfacceptance experienced by Nora's character and the impact caused afterwards. To ensure a comprehensive analysis, a descriptive qualitative method is used in this study. The writer adopts the objective theory and self-acceptance theory proposed by Hurlock as the basis for the study. The main data source is the novel itself. Furthermore, to strengthen the data processing, the writer uses reading and notetaking techniques to collect research data. This study found that Nora's character successfully accepted herself by increasing her self-love, self-confidence, and selfesteem. In addition, self-acceptance in Nora's character also makes the character accept other people, both their flaws and strengths. This process is called social adjustment, because basically, when someone can accept themselves, acceptance of others becomes easier and more natural, and strengthens harmonious interpersonal relationships. The process of self-acceptance then has a positive impact on Nora's character, among others: 1) embracing a positive self-image, 2) embracing a more positive worldview, and 3) discovering a deeper meaning and purpose in life.
