Abstract
Viego obsession from "Ruination" in Anthony Reynold's novel is a complex narrative that explores themes of obsession. This study examines the character Viego from Anthony Reynolds' novel "Ruination," focusing on his types of obsessions and their impacts towards Viego’s relationship. Utilizing Stanley Rachman Types Of Obsessions that distinguis two types of obsession "autogenous and reactive obsession" this research examines the psychological and emotional aspects contributing to Viego obsession. The findings reveal that Veigo Obsession are dominated by autogenous obsession rather than reactive obsession. The study concludes that Viego obsesion are tragic examples of how obsession can effect a person towards downfall trejectory in life. his research contributes to the academic discourse on literary character obsession.
