Abstract

ABSTRAK Kemasan produk UMKM Rusiti masih menggunakan plastik polos tipis yang beralaskan karton. Pada kemasan tersebut tidak terdapat informasi selain itu kemasan juga susah dibuka karena menggunakan staples, kemudian rengginang sering remuk karena bahan kemasan sangat tipis. Perancangan kemasan produk dengan pendekatan QFD yang berdasarkan ekspektasi pelanggan UMKM Rengginang Rusiti. Penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan kualitas desain kemasan berdasarkan kebutuhan pelanggan. Atribut kemasan yang dibutuhkan pelanggan yaitu 6 atribut dengan urutan prioritas sesuai QFD yaitu atribut mudah dibuka dan ditutup kembali dan atribut terdapat informasi nama, alamat, harga, jenis, kontak dan tanggal kadaluarsa. Berdasarkan pengolahan data menggunakan metode QFD didapatkan hasil perancangan kemasan rengginang baru menggunakan plastik polietilen alumunium foil dengan ketebalan 80 mikron di masing-masing sisinya karena konsumen menginginkan kemasan yang aman dan tidak mudah robek, kemudian kemasan berbentuk standing pouch dengan penambahan zipper lock agar kemasan lebih modern, mudah dibuka serta ditutup kembali dan kedap udara, kemudian pada kemasan juga terdapat labeh informasi berukuran 10 x 6 yang dicetak menggunakan digital printing agar informasi terlihat jelas dan lebih baik dari kompetitor. Kata kunci: UMKM, Kemasan, Rengginang, Quality Function Deployment ABSTRACT The packaging of Rusiti's UMKM products currently utilizes thin, plain plastic with a cardboard base. It lacks essential information, and the packaging is difficult to open due to staples. Additionally, the Rengginang often crumbles because the packaging material is fragile. This study aims to enhance the quality of packaging design by employing a Quality Function Deployment (QFD) approach, focusing on the expectations of Rusiti's Rengginang UMKM customers. The packaging attributes customers prioritize include six key features, as determined by the QFD analysis. These attributes include easy opening and resealing and information such as the product name, address, price, type, contact details, and expiration date. Based on data processing using the QFD method, the proposed design for the new Rengginang packaging incorporates polyethylene aluminum foil plastic with a thickness of 80 microns on each side. Consumers desire packaging that is safe and resistant to tearing. The new design features a standing pouch with a zipper lock, making it more modern, easy to open and reseal, and airtight. Additionally, a 10 x 6 information label will be printed using digital printing technology, ensuring that the information is visible and superior to that of competitors.
