SMK N 1 Gondang Sragen is one of the state Vocational High Schools in Sragen Regency. It is located on Tunjungan - Gondang KM 3, Gondang, Sragen. It has 1327 students which is divided into 6 majors, namely: Multimedia, Nursing, Light Vehicle Engineering, Automotive Body Engineering, Motorcycle Engineering, and Tourist Travel Unit. In this Vocational High School, the learning process still uses the traditional method, in which the teachers give an explanation in front of the class and students will listen and take some notes. By the development of the latest technology, the author aims to provide an alternative teaching method which is by using flash-based learning media. This study aims to develop the basic interactive learning media of automotive engineering class in grade X at SMK N 1 Gondang Sragen and to investigate the feasibility of basic learning media in automotive engineering class. The research method implemented in this study is Research and Development (R & D) method in which the development model used is the ADDIE model. This development model consists of five stages namely, Analysis (Analysis), Design (design), Development (development), Implementation (implementation), and Evaluation (evaluation). Data collection uses instruments such as observation, interviews and questionnaires. The data obtained will be analyzed descriptive quantitatively. The instrument used in this study is questionnaire. The subjects of the study are the tenth grade students of Automotive class at SMK N 1 Gondang Sragen. Developing learning media uses the main tool, Adobe Flash CS5 and other supporting software. The results of this study are as follows: (1) the products produced are Basic Learning Multimedia in Automotive Engineering, (2) The products developed are categorized as appropriate to be used as learning media, in which it is indicated by the results of validation conducted by (a) Media Experts, on the display aspect, it obtains a score of 4.13 for the design aspect of the program with a category (very good) and obtains a value of 4 for the programming aspect in the category (Good). (b) Material Experts, it obtains a score of 4.71 for the learning aspect with the category (very good) and obtains an average score of 4.25 for aspects of material truth with the category (very good).
